Henrico Doctors' Hospital

Part of HCA Virginia Health System, Henrico Doctors’ Hospital is the only hospital in Virginia named to HealthGrades “America’s 50 Best Hospitals” for five consecutive years (2007-2011). Henrico Doctors’ is a national leader in robotic surgery, home to the Orthopaedic Hospital, and the Cancer Center, which is fully accredited by the American College of Surgeons with ten commendations and is a CoC Outstanding Achievement Award recipient. The Virginia Transplant Center at Henrico Doctors’ specializes in kidney transplantation. It was established in 1990 under the direction of Dr. Gerardo Mendez-Picon and the team has performed more than 900 kidney transplants.
