Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center

Bon Secours St. Francis Medical Center opened in September of 2005, with 130 private beds. It is the first new hospital built to service residents south of the James River in more than two decades. As an acute care facility, the hospital offers a variety of services, including breast care, cardiac services, such as catheterization and electrophysiology, emergency services, general surgery, including minimally invasive and robotic surgery, orthopedic surgery, interventional radiology, neonatal intensive care, a full complement of women's services, including obstetrics, neurology, thoracic surgery, and wound care. The campus of St. Francis Medical Center also has a Cancer Center, offering robust oncology services, including radiation oncology. St. Francis Medical Center has numerous outreach locations, such as Ironbridge Medical Park, Blackstone, and coming soon Bon Secours St. Francis Watkins Centre. St. Francis Medical Center is a certified Primary Stroke Center, and was recently awarded Pathway to Excellence(tm) designation by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
